山东省翻译协会（原名山东省翻译工作者协会，简称“山东省译协”）成立于1986年，是由全省翻译领域的企事业单位、社会团体等组织、机关及个人自愿结成的全省性、行业性社会团体法人，会员由全省从事翻译相关业务的单位会员和个人会员组成，是中国翻译协会的团体会员。国家一级作家、著名翻译家王金铃为山东省翻译协会会长，山东省人民政府外事办公室副主任段毅军为常务副会长，副会长由山东省内主要高校的外语学院院长担任。协会业务主管单位为山东省人民政府外事办公室，秘书处设在省外办翻译中心。
　　本会的宗旨是团结和动员全省翻译工作者和热心翻译工作的同志，以经济建设为中心，积极实施科教兴国和可持续发展战略；开展翻译研究和学术交流，促进翻译人才培养和翻译队伍建设；参与行业管理，进行行业指导，维护翻译工作者的合法权益；开展与国内处同类组织之间的交流与合作，促进翻译事业的发展，为社会主义物质文明和精神文明建设服务。
　　除举办相关的学术和行业交流活动外，本会还充分利用自身的优势，积极开展翻译业务培训、翻译队伍建设、翻译咨询服务和与翻译工作相关的社会公益活动。

　Brief Introduction of 
Translators Association of Shandong Province

    Established in 1986, Translators Association of Shandong Province (abbreviated as TASDSDTA) is a provincial-level and professional social group with legal person status which is made up of public institutions, companies, social groups and individuals on a voluntary basis. The Association, as a group member of Translators Association of China, consists of both organizational and individual members engaged in translation and interpretation. Mr. Wang Jinling, national first level writer and famous translator, is invited as the President of Translators Association of Shandong Province, Ms. Duan Yijun, Deputy-Director of Foreign Affairs Office of Shandong Provincial People’s Government (SDFAO) as the Permanent Vice President, and the heads of schools of foreign languages under major universities in Shandong as Vice Presidents. The business of Translators Association of Shandong Province is mainly administered by SDFAO and the secretariat is set in Translation Center of SDFAO. 

    The purpose of Translators Association of Shandong Province is as follows: 
    to rally translators and those interested in translation in Shandong together and motivate them to proactively help implement the strategy of revitalizing the country through science and technology and the sustainable development strategy while taking economic development as the central task; 
    to conduct translation researches and academic exchanges, train translation personnel and build a strong translators’ team;
    to participate in the management and direction of the translation industry and protect the legitimate rights and interests of translators;
    to carry out exchanges and cooperation with counterpart organizations at home and abroad;
    so as to lift the translation endeavor to a higher stage and better servewith a view to accelerating the growth of translation industry and better serving the development of socialist material, ethical and cultural civilization. 

    In addition to academic exchanges and activities in this industry, Translators Association of Shandong Province, by making full use of its advantages, is also active in translators’ training, translation team building, translation consultation and social public benefit activities related to translation.
